Wolfgang Mitterer
is a man of many parts. He is widely known well beyond
the borders of Austria as an energetic and uninhibited improviser on synthesiszers
and small instruments, both with avantgarde and jazz partners or solo.
As an organist he has a command of the main repertoire as well as a new
approach to his instrument. And last but not least, he is an orchestral
composer whose scores are full of the graphic inventions of the Sixties
and beyond, and which have been performed at Europe's leading festivals.
For aAmplify he has done a miniature of Kalimba, or so called "bush piano",
improvisation. |
